Teddy Bear Patrol Program

You can help the Mental Health Association provide Geauga County emergency workers (police officers, firemen & EMT's, sheriff's deputies, park district rangers and Victim Advocates) with bears to comfort a traumatized child:
  • $15 sponsors a BEARY special bear
  • $25 sponsors 2 BEARY special bears
  • $50 sponsors 4 BEARY special bears
  • $100 sponsors 8 BEARY special bears

Teddy Bear Patrol accepts monetary donations. Hundreds of bears have been distributed throughout Geauga County in the past 10 years. Some children who have recently received bears:

"Preschooler...whose head was caught in the car window, hugged bear until police were abed to set him free..."

"Parent was arrested... 6 year old ... and two siblings were scared. Bears brought smiles..."

"... age 5, was involved in a rollover car accident...He held the bear tight while paramedics checked him out...."

"4 year old...suffered severe allergic reaction to bee sting. Bear helped comfort her..."

The Teddy Bear Patrol program is funded through community support and grants we are able to continue this quality program.
