Family-to-Family Education

This FREE 12-class education course, taught by trained family members, provides in-depth basic education and skill training for families and friends presented with the challenges in having a loved one diagnosed with a severe mental illness (biologically-based brain disorder). This course is offered in the spring and the fall and registration is required. For more information call 440-285-3945 or email at mdoehring@mhageauga.org.

For many families this is where they find out for the first time that they are not alone, that there is information available, and that they can learn to better support recovery for their loved one.

Registration Open for FALL Family-to-Family

We have recently completed our first NAMI Geauga County Family to Family Instructional Course. This FREE 12 class education course, taught by trained family members, provides in-depth basic education and skill training for families and friends presented with the challenges of having a loved one diagnosed with a severe mental illness or biologically-based brain disorder.

For many families this is where they find out for the first time that they are not alone, that there is information available, and that they can learn to better support recovery for their loved one. If you or someone you know is interested in taking this course in the FALL; please call 285-3945 to register. We still have some openings. The class members who completed this course in the past had great things to say about the experience. We have included just a few of the many positive comments we have received on evaluations completed at the end of our Spring class here.
